Hey All,I've been using Mixxx for a while now on my Desktop PC with great success. However I've run into some trouble getting to work on my Laptop. I'm running 3 decks with vinyl control. Setup specs:
Soundcard: Echo Audiofire 8
Mixer: Allen & Heath Xone:92
Desktop PC:
Windows 7 64bit
ASIO4ALL Version 2.13
Mixxx 2.0
Laptop:
Mcafee For Windows 10
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Version 1607
OS Build 14393.693
Firewire Expresscard Adapter
ASIO4ALL Version 2.13
Mixxx Version 1.11.0
When things weren't working on the laptop, I tried every conceivable different combination of Audiofire driver versions, ASIO4ALL versions and Mixxx versions. I ended up getting everything working with Mixxx 1.11.0, however it doesn't have the 4 deck support so I can't do what I need to, so need to try and get version 2.0 working if possible.
There's actually a few issues that seem to be stopping Mixxx 2.0 from working on my laptop. The most obvious is that when I select the Echo Audiofire Output channels for each deck, no sound comes out. It registers on the meter in mixxx when sound is playing, but nothing is outputted. Here's the strange thing, the inputs DO work. I have full vinyl control of the track and the sound of the timecoded vinyl is also registering in the separate Audiofire Console for each channel, so all good there. However, nothing seems to be coming out of Mixxx. I've gone through all the channels on the Audiofire console to make sure nothing obvious is muted. Other applications all work fine through any channel, so the problem definitely appears to be within Mixxx (2.0). It seems to be going in, but not coming back out.
Second issue. On the desktop I'm running the Mixxx inputs and outputs via ASIO4ALL. On my laptop, Mixxx 2.0 doesn't seem to detect all the inputs and outputs of my soundcard when selecting ASIO4ALL, there's only Channel 1-2 (instead of 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8). However, even channel 1-2 doesn't output sound. When uninstalling and reinstalling ASIO4ALL versions, for some reason when finally installing the latest version again, all the output channels now appear, but I get an error whenever I try to select them, and it reverts back to the previous settings when I close and reopen the preferences window.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
